On June 5, 2026, three graduating members – Shao Yingjian, Xiao Yuwei and Yao Chuxin organized a farewell banquet to express their gratitude to their supervisors and fellow group members. In the morning, all teachers and students took a group photo in front of the Specimen Building to record the precious teacher-student friendship and companionship over the years. In the afternoon, the group took a bus to Yuyin Mountain House for the research group’s traditional outdoor activity. Teachers and students took photos and chatted casually, enjoying a relaxed and pleasant time.

In the evening, everyone attended the graduation appreciation dinner at Rufeng Shengyan Banquet Hall. The three graduates all sang songs on stage. Shao Yingjian, who has stayed in the research group for ten years, performed the song Ten Years （十年） to convey his deep affection for the team.

The banquet featured various wonderful performances. Xiaosong gave two funny magic shows that amused everyone. Wang Weiru brought an entertaining talk show. Xu Buqing presented each graduate with an exclusive poem, delivering elegant and sincere blessings.

Yingjian was affectionately singing “Ten Years”.

After the performances, the three graduates delivered graduation speeches respectively. They recalled their study and growth experiences at the Institute of Geographical Sciences and the research group, and expressed gratitude to teachers for their guidance and classmates for their company. The teachers also delivered concluding remarks, affirming the graduates’ efforts and achievements in scientific research and sending sincere blessings for their future careers and lives.
