On Dec 14th, after taking photos with all the teachers and students, three graduates –Yi xin（怡欣）, Li Tingting（李婷婷） and Dai Yeliang（戴叶亮） feasted the whole group on tasty Hunan cuisine. Shuduan and Junwen also come for congratulating them. We tasted vintage Chinese liquor sponsored by Prof. Jun together. Parting is for the future reunion! Congratulations to three graduates! We wish you a bright future! 🙂
On Nov the 11th, Yi Xin (怡欣) and Li Tingting (李婷婷）had their PhD viva smoothly as planed. Both of them prepared for the event carefully and performed greatly. The assessment panel included professors Chen Yingjun (Fudan-U), Bao Rui (OUC), Tian Chongguo (YIC), Chen Duohong (GDEMC), and, alternatively, Jun Li and Gan Zhang. We had a cerebration dinner together afterwards. Congratulations, Drs Yi and Li !
On May the 6th, Yi Xin’s paper entitled ‘Compound-specific radiocarbon analysis of benzene polycarboxylic acids for source apportionment of polyaromatic organic matter in ambient aerosols‘ was accepted for publication in Atmospheric Environment. As Prof Orjan Gustafsson of Stockholm University commented, that this is an important contribution to tracking BC substances in the atmosphere; while, we are preparing for a more powerful next one. Congratulations!
