On October 19, 2026, the 17th Graduate Student Academic Forum of the GIG, was held in Conference Room 308 of the Specimen Building. Organized by the institute’s Education Office, the forum featured academic presentations by 22 graduate students. Five graduate students-Xin Deng, Siqi Yang, Xiaosong Guo, Zibin Chen, and Kun He-participated in the forum and presented progress in their respective research projects.

They delivered presentations on the occurrence, spatiotemporal variations, and environmental impacts of environmental contaminants, and all received awards. Siqi Yang received First Prize in the master’s student category; Xin Deng and Zibin Chen received Third Prizes; and Xiaosong Guo and Kun He received Excellence Awards.
