During 16–19 May, Gan, Shizhen, and several group members attended the 20th POPs Forum in Zhuhai. We contributed a total of 13 oral presentations. Gan hosted the session “Emerging Contaminant Control in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (粤港澳大湾区新污染物治理)”. Shizhen also joined the Specialized Committee on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs专委会) and became a new member of the Early Career Advisory Board for the journal Emerging Contaminants. She co-organized and chaired a session “Environmental Fate of Emerging Contaminants in the Atmosphere and Oceans （大气与海洋新污染物的环境命运）”together with Prof. Tang Jianhui （唐建辉）from Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (中科院烟台海岸带所) and Prof. Yuxin Ma （马玉欣）from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (上海交通大学). Congratulations to Deng Xin (邓馨) for winning the Best Oral Presentation Award for PhD Students!
We were also very happy to meet several alumni from the group, including Li Qilu (李琦路), Zhang Ruijie (张瑞杰), Wang Yan (王琰), Huang Yumei (黄玉妹), Zheng Qian (郑芊), and others. What a wonderful gathering, and see you all in Yichang next year!
