POPs Forum 2024 in Guiyang

On May 17-19,Professor Gan Zhang and Professor Shizhen Zhao, along with three members of the Air-Omics group: Lele, Yuwei and Weiru attended the POPs Forum 2024 held in Guiyang. During the conference,  Professors Tian Lin , Yue Xu and Yan Wang were also gethered  with us. Shizhen delivered an excellent presentation on tire ware particles. Moreover, Lele, Yuwei, and Weiru each delivered oral presentations on their respective research topics, showcasing their innovative work and promote our research group. It was a moment of pride for us when Weiru was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student Presentation Award. Congratulations!

Following the successful conclusion of the forum, we explored the city, immersing ourselves in the rich tapestry of Guiyang’s culture and cuisine. The highlight of this adventure was the city’s signature potato delicacies.

The trip not only served as an opportunity for academic engagement but also as a chance to experience the local way of life in Guiyang. The memories and experiences gained from this event will undoubtedly enrich the our academic journey and inspire further endeavors in our research pursuits.

Prof.Kevin Jones and Kirk T. Semple came to visit

At Apr.3rd, professor Kevin Jones and professor Kirk T. Semple from Lancaster University  made a memorable visit to the GIG. Kevin was  the prof.Zhao’s teacher during her PHD. The day kicked off with a stimulating group meeting, where five  students presented their current research progress. Each presentation was met with keen interest and constructive feedback from  Kevin, known for his insightful perspectives. His engaging comments not only showcased his expertise but also sparked lively discussions among the researchers. It provided an invaluable opportunity for students to receive international recognition and guidance.
