Janchu’s recent paper titled “Quantification of Micro- and Nano-plastics in Atmospheric Fine Particles by Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry with Chromatographic Peak Reconstruction” has just been published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials. This study introduces an innovative method for quantifying micro- and nano-plastics in atmospheric fine particles. Additionally, the work has also been granted a national invention patent! From December 1st to 4th, 2024, Gan and Shizhen participated in the 2nd Open Annual Conference on Marine System Science, held at the Zhuhai campus of Sun Yat-sen University. Gan presented a talk titled “The Polycyclic Aromatics Continuum in Atmospheric Particles: From Black Carbon to Brown Carbon”, while Shizhen gave a presentation on “Quantification of Micro- and Nano-plastics’ Contribution to Urban Atmospheric PM2.5”.
