Postdoctor in marine pollution (2019.07.15-). I received my PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) under supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamad Pauzi Zakaria in October 2015. I have started my career as a postdoctoral researcher in Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences (IOES), University of Malaya since June 2016.

My research interests are persistent organic pollutants (POPs), their bioavailability and bioaccumulation by benthos and source type evaluation of pollutants using biomarkers. I am particularly interested in biomarkers of petroleum pollution such as n-alkanes and hopanes and biomarkers of sewage pollution such as linear alkylbenzenes (LABs) and faecal sterols. I am currently working on black carbon (BC) and petroleum hydrocarbons in coastal environment of Malaysia and tracing their input pathways by stable carbon isotope (13C) and radiocarbon (14C) analysis.
