NAEO Revisited in 2023

On September 27, a group of us (Shizhen, Jianchu and Weiru) visited to Ningbo Atmospheric Environment Observatory (NAEO), which has been set up for 15 years by Pro. Zhang Yanlin.  Engineer Li also came with us to maintain the samplers of NAEO as well as called on Granpa Shen. Granpa Shen has dedicated more than 15 years to collect air samples for us.  He treated us with 100% homeproduced fruits and vegetable ! 🙂

 

Sadly, it’s not the type of fried rice-flour noodles (炒米粉) that Miss Shizhen keeps thinking about. TAT

One-day exploration on Wanshan Island

On July 19th, the Air-Omics Squad（爱米小分队） along with Guizhen Fang( 方贵桢） from Sun Yat-sen University investigated the marine environment monitoring station as a viable air sampling site at Wanshan island （万山岛）. Upon arrival, we indulged in delicious fresh seafood recommended by Fang, savoring the island experience. Great views of the sea shore could be perfectly captured on the roof top of the sampling site.  After fully investigated, we hopped on a sightseeing vehicle and embarked on a comprehensive tour of the island. The winding roads and picturesque landscapes unfolded before our eyes, offering glimpses of the island’s natural scenery. Hope to visit here again!

Party for Three Graduates

On Jun 11th, after taking photos with all the teachers and students, three graduates –Zhang Jiyun（张霁云）, Wang Shuang（王霜） and Zhang Ruiling（张瑞玲） feasted the whole group on tasty Hunan cuisine. We sang while enjoying the excitement and went back after enjoying ourselves to the full. School’s out, memories are past. Don’t ever doubt our friendship will last. Congratulations to three graduates!
