On May 10, Sun Yue did her PhD viva, online. The assessment panel includes Professor Chen Yingjun, Tian Chongguo, Zhang Yanlin, Song Jianzhong, Li Jun. As I was at Changsha, I could also only join the event online. Congratulations!

Kick-off plan: Air-Omics Squad fish plan（“咸鱼”计划）
During Jan13-19,2022, Shizhen and her team, the Air-Omics Squad(“爱米小分队”）（Lele, Jianchu, Yuwei and Yingjian), started a refreshing work on fish sampling. All fish samples were coming from the South China Sea, the East Sea, the West Sea, the Bohai Sea , the North Bay and Amur River. The flesh and livers of four types of fish( Monkfish, yellow fish, silver pomfret, hairtail and chum salmon) were cut and homogenized, and the mixtures were stored in closed brown glass bottles. This comes to be new content of the Air-Omics Squad project.

A bamboo celebration
On July 12 2021, we had a celebration on the square of Biobenlou to witness new PhD and MSc in their degree gowns. Jiaqi（王嘉琦）, Hongxing（姜鸿兴）, Buqing（徐步青）, Li Qiqian（李启虔）, Hu Beibei（胡蓓蓓）, Zhang Qing（张庆）, Xu Wenli（许文丽） are among the lucky girls and guys. Enjoy the nice pictures backed by the green bamboo!
