Tian Lele, Ma Jianchu PhD viva and Li Yifan postgraduate viva

On May 8th, Tian Lele (田乐乐) and Ma Jianchu (马建初) had their PhD viva, also with Li Yifan (李一凡) had her postgraduate viva smoothly. They are all members of Air Omic’s Squad(爱米小分队). The assessment panel, composed of An Taicheng (GDUT) Zou Shichun (SYSU), You Jing (JNU) ,Chen Duohong (GDEMC), Bi Xinhui (GIG), Ding Xiang (GIG), and, alternatively, Zhao Shizhen ,Li Jun and Zhang Gan. We celebrated with a dinner in honor of the graduates afterwards. We shared a joyful evening, congratulating Lele, Jianchu, and Yifan on their remarkable achievements and wishing them continued success in their future endeavors. Congratulations!

Janchu’s Research Published in Journal of Hazardous Materials and Patented

Janchu’s recent paper titled “Quantification of Micro- and Nano-plastics in Atmospheric Fine Particles by Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry with Chromatographic Peak Reconstruction” has just been published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials. This study introduces an innovative method for quantifying micro- and nano-plastics in atmospheric fine particles. Additionally, the work has also been granted a national invention patent! Great Sucess of Fourth Year Fish Plan-A Growing Team

During Jan 17-18, the Air-Omics Squad (“爱米小分队”) successfully completed the 2024 Fish Plan (“咸鱼”计划), marking another key achievement in the squad’s ongoing research efforts. This year’s project brought together both experienced team members and fresh faces, including vistors Ruijie, Zixin, Tianshuo as well as freshman participants Xiaosong, Zibing and Siqi. The team was divided into two groups, each wearing SpongeBob and Patrick aprons, respectively. Both teams were well-equipped with gloves, masks, and knives, and demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and precision throughout the project. The Air Omics Squad showcased

excellent teamwork and execution during this fish plan. We look forward to even greater achievements in the future as we continue to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm and dedication!
