GeoBBC Progress – Sampling review and planning II

On March 29, 2023, Professor Zhang Gan invited Tian Zhaowei, director of Heyuan Hydrology Station, to give professional guidance on our upcoming sampling. Other participants included Li Jun, Zhao Shizheng, Zhong Guangcai, Geng Xiaofei, Wang Xiao, Wang Weiru and Hu Zhicheng. The meeting finally established three sampling schemes for long-term observation, intensive observation and rainstorm events capture, and the sampling details were discussed and determined. Look forward to the successful implementation of sampling.

GeoBBC Progress –Additional sampling sites of passive air samplers

On March 22, 2023, Zhicheng set up  6 passive air samplers in Shuntian Town and Chuantang Town (3 samplers*2 sampling sites). During the dry season, a total of 51 passive samplers were set up in the Dongjiang River basin, mainly distributed in Xinfeng County (4 sampling sites), Lianping County (5 sampling sites) and Dongyuan County (8 sampling site).

GeoBBC Progress – Phase 4 Dry Season Sampling Completed

On the International Working Women’s Day (8 March 2023), Bolong and Zhicheng completed the fourth phase of sampling in the dry season. Three surface sediments and three surface water samples were collected in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Chuantang River. Thank Bolong and Zhicheng for their efforts. The completion of the phase 4 sampling means the successful conclusion of the dry season sampling.
