The 5th Joint Workshop with HKPolyU and SYSU

On June 1-3, several group members attended the 5th Joint Workshop on Environ Sci & Technol in Zhuhai. The workshop was based on the bilateral annual meeting between HK-PolyU and GIG, but this year with SYSU as a third party. Mo Yangzhi presented an oral talk, and Liu Xin, Shizhen, Haoyu, Qiqian and Jibin presented their posters.

POPs Forum 2017 in Wuhan

On May 16-18, Liu Xin, Shuduan, Shizheng, Zhang Gan and former group member Huang Yumei attended the POPs Forum 2017 in Wuhan. Shizhen gave a presentation in the human exposure session. The Forum venue was in the beautiful and luxury Shangri-La Hotel. Former group member Cheng Hairong (成海容） and her students joined us on the day. Professors Wang Youjie （王友洁） and Mei Surong （梅素容） of Tongji Medical School of S&T University of Central China (华中科技大学同济医学院）invited the group to a dinner specifically with the famous Xiao-long-xia （小龙虾, crayfish） being the main dishes.

The 4th conference on ecotoxicology in Hangzhou

On April 25-27, the 4th conference on ecotoxicology was held in Hangzhou. Shizhen and I gave oral presentations in sessions, respectively. Jun also visited Hangzhou. We met Zhang Yanlin, Chen Yingjun and Tian Chongguo on the water front of Xihu. Professor Feng Jialiang came over from Shanghai just for our small gathering, and discussion on future collaboration on biomass burning study..
