On May 31 2021, Jiaqi, Buqing and Hongxing did their PhD viva, successfully. Included in the assessment panel are Professors Chen Yingjun, Chen Duohong, Hu Weiwei, Zhang Yanlin and Ding Xiang. We had a little bit of alcohol (Xiaoguwei-小谷围-which is the favorite of Li Jun) after the event. Congratulations!
On September 27-29, a group of us (Li Jun, Shizhen and Gan) paid anotrher visit to Ningbo Atmospheric Environment Observatory (NAEO) first setup by the group from 2008. Chen Yingjun, from Shanghai, and Zhang Yanlin, form Nanjing, came to meet with us for a dinner together in Ningbo. The NAEO was first setup by Zhang Yanlin, and then built by Liu Xiang and Li Jun. It has been taken care of by the ‘Shen brothers’ who have been very professional to keep the station running for 12 years! The facility needs another round of refurbishing. Besides, we also visited the famous Tiyige (天一阁）in the city, which is an ancient library, amazing.
On Jan 12, we had a full day full group meeting, that 33 postdoctors and students in currrently Guangzhou presented their annual report one by one, each in 10 minutes. We also had chance to take group pictures with many of our faces together, except for Buqing, Yishan and Xiaofei. Very successful day, and excited moment!
