POPs Forum 2017 in Wuhan

On May 16-18, Liu Xin, Shuduan, Shizheng, Zhang Gan and former group member Huang Yumei attended the POPs Forum 2017 in Wuhan. Shizhen gave a presentation in the human exposure session. The Forum venue was in the beautiful and luxury Shangri-La Hotel. Former group member Cheng Hairong (成海容） and her students joined us on the day. Professors Wang Youjie （王友洁） and Mei Surong （梅素容） of Tongji Medical School of S&T University of Central China (华中科技大学同济医学院）invited the group to a dinner specifically with the famous Xiao-long-xia （小龙虾, crayfish） being the main dishes.

On April 27-28, Yishan, Zhineng, Chunling and Zhang Gan visited professors Wan Shiqiang（万师强）and Fu Shenglei（傅声雷）of Henan University（河南大学） in Kaifeng （开封）, for a discussion about the radiocarbon study on Chinese forest soils. The two top ecologists gave pertinent suggestions and cordial advice. Besides, we occasionally had tea in a tea & flower house beautifully and lovely decorated. It was a fruitful and memorable trip.

Yishan explained her results and next-step plan to the professors. Prof Wang Shiqiang (left) is a top scientist in global change ecology (全球变化生态学）. Professor Fu Shenglei (right) is a top scientist in soil biogeochemistry (土壤生物地球化学）.
