Dilanka and Hairong in Wuhan

On April 8, I was invited by Professor Qi Shihua (祁士华) of CUG Wuhan to attend a signing ceremony for education cooperation between CUG and CAS. I had the chance to meet Dilanka and previous group member Cheng Hairong (成海容) on the campus of CUG. Dilanka studies in CUG for her first year of MsC. She goes well with her study in CUG. Hairong has been going well with her teaching and research in WHU. It was a very nice day in the morning, followed by raining in the afternoon and at night.

潭影录

Destination A-Po-Liu

On March 29, we took a challenging and enjoyable hiking of which the destination is the A-Po-Liu Village （阿婆六村）in Conghua of Guangzhou. A-Po-Liu is the highest altitude village of Guangzhou. We stayed one night at Xitou Town （溪头）, of course had some alcohol. On March 30, we visited the source valley of Liuxi River which is the drinking source water of Guangzhou. The group came back to the institute in the evening, after the memorable 2-day field trip in the Spring. The overall hiking distance maybe up to 17 km.

The weather: 山色崆濛雨亦奇。

We almost got lost at the beginning.

Prof Ma Jianming and Guo Hai visited

On March 27-28, Professors Ma Jianmin（马健民） and Guo Hai （郭海） visited us. We joined to bid for a project from MOST. And I met Professor Wang Xuemei （王雪梅）of Sun Yat-sun University (now Jinan University) who was bidding for another MOST project.

Xuemei is an excellent atmospheric modeler. We used the same video room for our project defenses, respectively.
