In March, William and Nigar returned to the group to further study after a long holiday due to COVID-19. On the 28th of March, Williman landed in Guangzhou from Accra, Ghana. In the evening, we had dinner at Donjiang Restaurant. Later, we visited Haixinsha Park in the drizzle. A relaxing night!
On March 2nd, Jibing invited us out for dinner to celebrate his new role as a father. On March 10, Tiangan visited the group to see Yangzhi off, as Yangzhi will go to Stockholm University for a one-year study. We drank too much alcohol that night that we even forgot to take a group photo.
On the 15th of November, the intensive air sampling campaign was initiated in Heshan Atmospheric Supersite (receptor site), Guangzhou (GIG, urban site), and Boluo (Background site). The campaign, named as “Wind-in-his-hair” (风中散发) by Gan, will last for one month. Chuxin, Yuwei, and Jianchu/Yingjian will be responsible for the operations in Heshan, Guangzhou and Boluo, respectively. Atmospheric particulate and gaseous samples, carbon dioxide and bulk deposition samples will be collected synchronically at the 3 key sites. We look forward to fruitful results from this fieldwork.
