On June 17, Kevin came to the institute for a short meeting with some of the group members. Haoyu, Shuduan and Shizhen introduced their own research. Kevin has been in sabbatical leave during the last year, he will be active again from July the next month.
On June 1-3, several group members attended the 5th Joint Workshop on Environ Sci & Technol in Zhuhai. The workshop was based on the bilateral annual meeting between HK-PolyU and GIG, but this year with SYSU as a third party. Mo Yangzhi presented an oral talk, and Liu Xin, Shizhen, Haoyu, Qiqian and Jibin presented their posters.

On May 23rd morning, the group held a farewell gathering for Dr. Jabir Syed, who has amazingly been with/around us from 2011 to 2017! Jabir will join Hong Kong Polytechnic University to work with Professor Guo Hai as a PDRF. We wish him a happy life and good luck!
