On April 23 we met Professor Tilak of Ruhuna UNiversity of Sri Lanka, who has been our main collaborator and has taken care of our work in Srilanka for the last nearly 2 years. He is a hydrorlogist /geochemist. (pictures by: Wu Manqing)

Dilanka and Hairong in Wuhan
On April 8, I was invited by Professor Qi Shihua (祁士华) of CUG Wuhan to attend a signing ceremony for education cooperation between CUG and CAS. I had the chance to meet Dilanka and previous group member Cheng Hairong (成海容) on the campus of CUG. Dilanka studies in CUG for her first year of MsC. She goes well with her study in CUG. Hairong has been going well with her teaching and research in WHU. It was a very nice day in the morning, followed by raining in the afternoon and at night.

Group dinner on April Fools’ Day
On 1st of April, we had a big group dinner to celebrate the April Fools’ Day. Occasionally, it’s our dearest boss, Gan’s “official” birthday. We carefully prepared a little surprise for him. It’s an autograph album, which collects all the students’ recent photos and handwritten greetings. We wish him all the best. May love, joy and peace surround him!
